  • Are the prices shown on your site applicable to all?
    Yes. However, INR prices are applicable to resident Indians. International fares are applicable to both the Indian residents and foreigners..
       
  • Can I use travel vouchers, certificates or frequent flyer miles to purchase through makemytrip.com?
    Airlines generally require that tickets purchased using either frequent flier miles or travel vouchers be handled directly at one of their locations. The same is true for vouchers issued by a variety of travel clubs. You will need to contact them directly to purchase your ticket.
       
  • How do I make a reservation for someone else?
    To complete a reservation for someone else, simply type in his or her name instead of yours for the passenger/traveler name. Your profile information (e.g. name, address, phone number, etc.) will be used as a default. However, you may type over the appropriate fields and replace them with the actual traveler's information.
       
  • How do I know my reservation is confirmed?
    You will get the registeration status online before you book. After we receive your reservation, we will send you an immediate e-mail confirmation. This e-mail will include your itinerary details and ticket price. You may also confirm your reservation online by accessing "My Itinerary"section on the home page.
       
  • I saw a lower airfare advertised today. Why can't I get that airfare using MakeMyTrip.com?
    This may occur due to several reasons. Airlines generally restrict the number of seats that may be sold at a discounted fare. Those seats may have already been sold out by the time you accessed the system. Also, most discounted fares carry certain travel restrictions such as minimum/maximum stay requirements, advance purchase, blackout dates, etc. makemytrip.com takes these restrictions into account when pricing your itinerary. The advertisement should outline these restrictions. Airlines also keep changing the prices and we have no control on airline pricing as well.
       
  • The lowest fare is obtained only when the airline is not specified while this is not the case when I ask for a particular airline . Why so ?
    Makemytrip.com only searches for your preferred airline(s) and the lowest fares that may not be on your preferred airline(s).
       
  • I need time to think about my reservation before I purchase a ticket. Can I place a reservation on hold?
    Yes, you can place a reservation on hold for 48 hours. If you have not purchased your ticket within 48 hours, the reservation will be canceled automatically. You will not be able to hold a reservation if you are traveling within 72 hours or if you already have 10 reservations or if the airline does not allow the tickets to be held. A word of caution: Your ticket price is not guaranteed until you have purchased the ticket.
       
  • I placed a reservation on hold and purchased a ticket from the airline directly. When I went to the airport, my reservation had been canceled by your system. What happened?
    Our agreement with the airlines is that we will either issue a ticket within 24 hours or automatically cancel the reservation. If you put a reservation on hold in MakeMyTrip.com and then purchase it directly from the airline, we do not come to know that your ticket was purchased. We are led to believe that the reservation is still on a 'hold' status. Therefore, we cancel your reservation after 24 hours. This generates a cancellation message that is sent to the airline as well. The airline then cancels your purchased ticket.
       
  • I do not know the airport code for my departure or arrival cities. Can I enter the name of the city instead of the airport code?
    Yes, makemytrip.com lets you enter the city name instead of the 3-letter airport code in the airport code field.
       
  • Do I have to enter my frequent-flyer number, meals, seating preference and other service requests with each reservation?
    Yes, you have to.
       
  • Do you offer Infant, Child and Companion fares?
    Yes, we offer domestic and international child / infant fares. Senior and companion fares would be added as a product enhancement soon. However, the pricing and rules for such fares are governed by the airlines.
       
  • Are there any airlines that are not listed on MakeMyTrip.com?
    There are some airlines for which MakeMyTrip.com is currently unable to supply tickets. This list may change periodically and will be updated as those changes occur. If an airline or a sector of your choice isn't available, it is either beacuse there are no special fares on the sector or it is a sector we are unable to serve. Please email us.
       
  • Why doesn't MakeMyTrip.com search for all flights?
    MakeMyTrip.com does not serach for all flights that match your criteria - just the least expensive or those that most closely match your request.
       
  • What if I need to change my flight arrangements?
    If you need to change your flight arrangements at any time, please email us or call us. Based on the nature of your request, we let you know about the procedures for the required changes.
       
  • Why did the fare change at purchase time?
    MakeMyTrip.com uses a real-time reservation database, the same used by travel agents worldwide that lists actual ticket prices and availability. As airlines fill flights or change fares, the database immediately reflects those changes. Always be sure to double-check prices when reserving or purchasing tickets, as the fare may have changed since you first searched for fares or created your itinerary.
