Traveling with children can be a challenging ordeal. Children are not used to being constrained in a limited space especially when they would rather be out playing in the park. For infants too, flying can be extremely uncomfortable. With a few child-friendly tips, all of you might cope with flying half-way across the world better.

When making a reservation, inform your travel representative that you are traveling with a child or infant. Request for a bassinet for you're your baby.

While children under two are not required to have their own seat, it might be better to book one for the extra space.

Give your baby a bottle or pacifier to suck on during takeoff and landing. This will help equalize the ear pressure and keep your baby comfortable. You might not want to block the baby's ears with cotton as babies find that irritating.

Bring plenty of toys and activities to keep your child busy.
Coloring books are a great distraction.

Playing games and reading to your child will keep them distracted for sometime at least.

Carry a supply of your child's favorite snacks and juice to keep them happy.
