Any piece over the baggage allowance or baggage that exceeds the size and weight limitations will be subject to additional charges as per Continental Airlines baggage rules. Continental Airlines History
Continental Airlines started its operation in the year 1934 as Varney Speed Lines with Lockheed Vega, a single engine four-seater plane. On July 8, 1937 Varney Speed Lines was renamed as Continental. Initially Continental Airlines was operating flights on EI Paso � Denver route and later on added many destinations. In January 2009, Continental Airlines had announced that the airline would leave SkyTeam on October 24, 2009 and accordingly joined Star Alliance.
