Activities in Nainital
The Mall is the main shopping center in Nainital which
has some of the good shops where you can do some shopping.
In Nainital the main items to be bought are the woolen
garments and decorative pieces made from wood. Mall
Road, which encircles the Naini Lake at the heart
of the town, is dotted by numerous shops, many of
them selling decorative candles for souvenirs. These
colourful candles are one thing every traveller takes
back with himself. For the woolen garments, the Bohtia
Bazaar is the best place. In addition, fresh strawberries
and mulberry are available in season. We recommend
trying the buransh sherbat made from a local red rhododendron
flower, available at a few places in and around Nainital.
