Royal Jordanian Airlines In the year 1963 Royal Jordanian Airlines was established under the royal decree by the late King Hussein. When it was established it was named Alia, which was the name of the King Hussein first child, Princess Alia. The Royal Jordanian airlines are under the control of government though it was founded by the capital from private shareholders. Today it is considered the flag airlines of Jordan and it has its hub at Queen Alia International Airport. Royal Jordanian Airlines Baggage Allowance

The baggage which is permitted in Royal Jordanian Airlines is for Crown Class Passengers are allowed to carry one piece of 30kg and 2 pieces in cabin not exceeding 7 kg. In economy class passengers are allowed one piece of 20 kg and one piece in Cabin not exceeding 7 kg. Infants for whom 10% fare is being paid can have one checked in baggage of not more than 10kg. In case of people travelling from North America the allowed baggage is two pieces of maximum 32 kg each for Crown Class for 3rd piece extra charge needs to be paid. Similarly in economy class one can carry 2 pieces and maximum weight of 23kg each.
